Kendra Eyman

I am an Artist, rooted within the mountains, rivers & prairies of Southwestern Montana.

I work both independently and collaboratively within the realms of blacksmithing & welding, ceramic sculpture, adornments,  woven textile, & painting.  My Art is an expression of my intimate bond with the Earth & Natural World, and my expansive & curious mind.

I began creating Art following 15+ years of working within the Healing Arts, as a functional movement practitioner, health coach, herbalist, chef, logistics coordinator & community organizer.  This level of dedication to others reflected back to me my own deficiencies, and self-sacrificing patterns.  After years of struggling through chronic health issues, I left a steady job in 2024, and became primarily nomadic.  During this time I discovered my calling as an Artist & Steward, and share my story with others to inspire brave new choices, and bold creative innovation. My nomadic, wild, and nature-bonded spirit directly influences everything I create.

Themes of sentience & animism, interconnectedness & interdependence, undomesticated wildness, and humor are woven throughout my work.  I create because it allows me a language of expression that expresses more than words, intellectualization, or sense-making.  Art allows me to connect with my own mystery, which ultimately feels like freedom & authenticity.  Art has also served as a refuge, & as a doorway to presence & softness within my animal body.

I believe that hand crafted IS the future.  Artists are pre-paving roads forward for younger generations, and I LOVE showing up as an example of personal sovereignty.  I also LOVE existing as an example of the power of free will, and leading my life from a place of empowerment & individuality.  Creativity is a vital path to alchemising and integrating where we have been, and where we are going.
